I am the mom of a wonderful high functioning autistic child and I started my business after being laid off from working for a Health & Beauty company for 16 years. I have always loved cosmetics and skin care and it has always been my dream to develop my own brand, so when I was laid off, I found it was the perfect opportunity to give it a shot and it also gave me the flexibility to be around more for my son. It has not been easy but I have stuck with it and trying to expand.

I guess you can honestly say "when one door closes...another door opens." How awesome that you were able to start your own business. I used to own a salon and day spa and miss it immensely.
